Crypto recovery has a reputation problem. I started Revault to be the version that a notary would be comfortable recommending.
Most people who lose access to a wallet did nothing wrong. They chose a strong password in 2014, wrote a seed phrase on paper that got damp, or inherited a laptop from a parent who never explained what was on it.
The industry that grew up around those people is split between serious engineers and outright scammers, and from the outside they look the same. I built Revault around the things that make the difference visible: a contract before work, verification before a case is accepted, air-gapped systems, and a fee that only exists when access is restored.
I say no to cases I can't win. A completely lost seed phrase, stolen funds, a transaction to the wrong address — I'll tell you that in the first conversation rather than let you hope.

Revault is me, Ruud Juffermans. There is no team, no sales desk and no ticket queue: I read your intake, I assess it, I do the technical work and I sit next to you at the handover.
I studied computer science with a minor in blockchain and cryptocurrency (business, law and IT), and worked as a cryptocurrency data specialist for the Dutch police, where I built tooling for financial and crypto investigations.
Before that I was a data engineer at the Netherlands Aerospace Centre, and for four years I taught Python, SQL and blockchain technology online. Explaining what is and isn't possible, in plain language, is most of this job.
Working one-on-one is a deliberate choice. Wallet material is the most sensitive thing you can hand someone. With me it passes through exactly one pair of hands, on systems I control, under an agreement we both sign.
