Crypto wallet recovery: get back into the wallet you still own.
Forgotten password, a seed phrase with a few wrong words, a wallet file from 2013 that won't open — I assess whether access can be rebuilt, and tell you honestly when it can't.
Also for heirs, executors and notaries who need access to an inherited wallet.
You only pay if I succeed
I never take control of your funds: you open the wallet yourself, with me alongside if you wish
On-site in the Netherlands or fully remote
Six kinds of lockout, one process.
Recovery works at the wallet level, not the coin level. What matters is the type of wallet and what you still have — not which currency is inside.
Password recovery
Forgotten wallet passwords, extra passphrases and encrypted backup files.
Seed phrase reconstruction
Missing, wrong or swapped words in a 12- or 24-word recovery phrase.
Damaged wallet files
Corrupted wallet.dat, broken keystores and unreadable backups.
Legacy wallet recovery
Discontinued or unsupported wallet software from the early years.
Hardware wallet recovery
Broken screens, dead USB ports and forgotten PINs on Ledger and Trezor.
Inherited wallets (heirs and notaries)
Access to inherited wallets for heirs, executors, notaries and lawyers.
A structured process, so you always know what's next.
Five steps from first contact to handover. Nothing technical starts before identity, ownership and the agreement are in place.
- 01
Intake & assessment
You describe the wallet, what happened and what you still have. I assess whether recovery is technically realistic — free and non-binding.
- 02
Verification
Before accepting a case I verify your identity and ownership or authority — so I know the wallet is yours, or that you may act for it.
- 03
Agreement
Scope, fee, confidentiality and the non-custodial principle are fixed in a signed service agreement. An NDA is available on request.
- 04
Recovery
Password recovery, seed reconstruction or file repair runs on air-gapped systems, remotely or on-site as agreed.
- 05
Handover
You open the wallet and move the funds to a new wallet only you control. The agreed fee is settled during that handover.
Built for a moment when trust is everything.
Confidential by contract
An NDA can be signed before you share a single detail. Scope, fee and security arrangements go into a service agreement under Dutch law before work begins.
Honest assessments
I tell you upfront when a case isn't viable. A completely lost seed phrase with no other material cannot be recovered — by me or anyone else.
What happens at the moment of recovery?
Whoever finds the password can open the wallet at that moment — including me. That is why the handover takes place in a supervised session where you open the wallet and move the funds yourself, as set out in the agreement. Where possible I work from a hash or copy so the original file stays with you.
One point of contact
You deal with me, the person doing the work, from the first email to the handover. Sessions happen remotely, at my office, at your premises or at your notary's.
One person, from first email to handover.

Ruud Juffermans
Founder of Revault, wallet recovery specialist
Revault is me, Ruud Juffermans. There is no team, no sales desk and no ticket queue: I read your intake, I assess it, I do the technical work and I sit next to you at the handover.
I studied computer science with a minor in blockchain and cryptocurrency (business, law and IT), and worked as a cryptocurrency data specialist for the Dutch police, where I built tooling for financial and crypto investigations.
Before that I was a data engineer at the Netherlands Aerospace Centre, and for four years I taught Python, SQL and blockchain technology online. Explaining what is and isn't possible, in plain language, is most of this job.
Working one-on-one is a deliberate choice. Wallet material is the most sensitive thing you can hand someone. With me it passes through exactly one pair of hands, on systems I control, under an agreement we both sign.
Frequently asked questions about crypto wallet recovery
Only your story: the type of wallet, what happened and what you still have — a wallet file, a backup, part of a seed phrase or the old device. Never share seed phrases, private keys or passwords at this stage.
I work no recovery, no fee. The standard fee is 20% of the recovered value, agreed and contracted before I start, and only due once you are back in your wallet yourself. High-value wallets get a lower custom percentage.
It depends on the case. Simple password cases can finish within days; complex passwords or partial seed phrases can take weeks or occasionally months. You get a realistic estimate after the intake.
You can recognise legitimate wallet recovery by four things I do as standard: a signed service agreement under Dutch law before any work; verification of your identity and ownership before a case is accepted; never asking for your seed phrase, private key or password by email or web form; and payment only after you are back in your wallet yourself. Anyone asking for upfront fees, offering guarantees, or promising to recover stolen crypto is describing something that cannot technically be done.
No. I don't take stolen-fund or scam cases, and I don't trace transactions. Any service claiming it can reverse a blockchain transaction is describing something that cannot be done.
Not if no other wallet material exists — no file, no key, no backup, no device. Nobody can recover that, including me.
